Selene was built on a single conviction: a woman’s shoe should do more than fit. It should hold its shape by the end of a long evening, sit true on the arch, and carry the quiet confidence of something made with intention.
We design heels for the woman who notices construction. The line of a last. The weight of a buckle. The way a block heel strikes the floor versus a stiletto. The difference between leather that softens into the foot and leather that punishes it.
Our approach.
Every pair in our collection is built around three non-negotiables.
The last. Our lasts are shaped for the contemporary Indian foot, not borrowed silhouettes that approximate it. The result is a closer fit across the instep, a cleaner heel cup, and less slippage through wear.
The materials. We source full-grain and softened leathers, textile uppers with structured linings, and hardware finished to resist tarnishing through humid months. Soles are selected for the heel type, cushioned where the foot bears load, rigid where it needs support.
The finish. Stitching is checked by hand. Edges are burnished, not merely painted. Insoles are padded without bulk. A pair leaves our workshop only after it has been inspected twice.

Selene is based in Hyderabad. Our production is small by design. We release in considered drops rather than seasonal floods, which lets us hold every pair to the same standard and retire styles that no longer meet it.
The woman buying from Selene is not buying a trend. She is buying a pair she expects to wear through a wedding season, a work year, a decade of evenings. We build for her.
